Happy hump day!😊 Today was light weight, heavy reps working those hammys… haven’t done these in a while so i really wanted to focus on my form! I put the heavy weights aside and tried my best to perform them correctly. These are super good for your hammys/ glutes.
what I was focusing on most was keeping my head aligned with my back! I see some people trying to deadlift with their head completely out of line, which is not good for your back at all. just like everyone else tho, I had to learn that for myself! another thing I am super cautious about is picking up the weight… the hunch back is a no go!! It can be bad for your spine. I try focusing on lifting the weight through my legs, not my back when doing these.
When watching myself on video I also pick up small things that I need to change as well. I AM NOT claiming to be “perfect”. I know I have a lot to improve. With that being said when I’m coming up I’m hyperextending my hips a bit much, which isn’t the best for your spine. I am not afraid to correct myself or show my flaws. I’m busting my ass in the gym I might as well make sure I’m doing it correctly right?!
